Steelers GM says Pittsburgh has 'unfinished business' to handle before the season starts
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

An offseason that can be labeled as a success for the Pittsburgh Steelers may not be over just yet.

Sure rookie minicamp is about to begin and the vast majority of the roster is assembled.

But if your GM Omar Khan and the Pittsburgh Steelers, you still have your eye on one more prize:

Unfinished Business

"We feel good about where we're at, but obviously there's still some unfinished business until we get into the season and we start winning football games and we reach our goal, which his to win a Super Bowl", Khan said on The Jim Rome Show. "We don't want to be watching the Super Bowl on the couch and watching somebody else play and win the game", he reiterated. "Our goal is to be there and having people watch us. So, still a lot of work to be done and we'll see, but overall, we feel good about where we're at".

Whether you're a fan, player, or personnel member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you have to feel good about the current state of the roster.

The offense has been completely rebuilt. Your biggest question marks along the offensive line now have answers after the team drafted OT Troy Fautanu and center Zach Frazier.

On defense, you still have the pillars of your team via T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Cam Heyward, and Minkah Fitzpatrick all in some form of their prime.

Beyond that, you traded for a veteran corner, and rebuilt a LB unit to be fast, intense and physical.

And sure, we won't know how good the team can be until either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields are commanding the team from the pocket, but in all, there is reason for optimism.

But there's one position that could use a little more firepower...

WR.

Pittsburgh has been reported to have made calls on a variety of players including D.K. Metcalf, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and Courtland Sutton.

That is surely the 'unfinished business' that Omar Khan is speaking to. But with the player acquisition phase of the calendar largely compete, you have to wonder if that business stays unfinished, or if Khan has another trick up his sleeve.
